Same here, I share the same fear. In exact same ratio to WW3. Didn't know spiders had a "heart rate", to be honest. Well that makes them slightly less alien, but still not enough. Wolf spiders are the biggest eight legged pests in my part of the world, and even that is way over my tolerance limit. Wife takes care of them in humane manner, so as not to break their heart :)
It doesn't compute with me when people say, "Oh they're amazing and cute." I ate tarantula in cambodia and watched them in action in the amazon jungle, but from a distance.
