You need the stuff you need. I know that is weird, but there is a certain spartan level that makes living daily life more difficult, rather than easier.

If it's something you use once a year...might be worth getting rid of it and borrowing/renting/buying and then selling again, when you actually need it.

if it's something that makes your life easier on a daily basis (having 3 coffee cups instead of 2 and having so stop and take time to wash that second cup before use) then it's probably worth keeping.

What streamlines your process? What is something that just is in the way.

One school of thought is to take something that you aren't sure if you want to keep, and put it in the middle of the room that you walk through the most. Then leave it there for a week. IF you constantly walk around it carefully, then it's something you treasure enough to keep. If you move it/kick it out of the way, then it's probably fine to go.

But also remember, even as a writer, you have to take care of the bod, and refresh the mind!
