Rapid Release!
No, that’s not a description of my love affairs in the bedroom, but I couldn’t resist, now could I?
Until recently I couldn’t have cared one way or another about the concept of rapid release whereby, as an indie writer, you put out a short story and/or novella every single week or at the outset, two weeks.
I’d always put out a lot of material, but I did so more like once per month or every other month. Now, I am a f$%&ing machine, if you’ll excuse my French.
My original goal was to have 100 pieces of intellectual property in my indie library by the end of year. I think I will easily surpass that.
Next up, a collection of 7 or 8 of the new short thrillers to be distributed to all stores in eBook, Audio, and trade paperback. I believe I’m calling it “Desperate Measures and Other Short Thrillers.” Catchy, huh?
Next year, I hope to do another 100 stories for my indie library.
In the end, the intellectual properties you create and that bypass the gatekeepers and go straight to readers, are the gifts that keep on giving.
