The chamber must be forty feet long by forty feet wide. The walls, ceiling, and floor are carved out of granite with such precision, there’s no way the ancient Incans could have constructed it without the help of a species far more technologically advanced than them. Maybe a civilization not of this earth. Don’t let the scientists fool you. Anything is possible.
Or maybe the Incans were much more advanced than we think. Perhaps, like the ancient Egyptians thousands of years before them, their stone cutting and construction knowledge was even superior to modern humans. If that’s the case, their knowledge has been lost for all time. Or perhaps one day, a man like me will come upon a scroll or a tablet that reveals all the information we need to know about how a civilization like the Incas could have created such incredible structures like the temple I’m standing in and Machu Pichu. It all boggles the mind. Chase the humbled.
At the far end of the room stands an altar made of stone. Set on top of it is the sundial. It’s round, and about the size of a dinner plate. It’s not only made of gold, but precious gems are embedded inside it. The image of the Sun God has been carved into the center of the plate. His eyes are wide, his nose prominent, and his teeth are like fangs. He doesn’t seem very happy for such a bright God. He seems almost angry.
