Silence fills the private room. It’s located on the top floor of the Albany Medical Center and is reserved only for VIP patients like the Pope should he be traveling through the Capital City which, of course, would be unheard of. But today, two dignitaries of another sort occupy the single, mahogany wall-paneled room. They are Juan Juarez, head of the Northeast Territories of Mexico’s Juarez Cartel, and his son, Fredo.
Last evening, Fredo was involved in a gang-on-gang shooting that left his heart and liver useless. Now, unless he receives a double transplant immediately, he will die within hours. Correction. He will die within the hour.
